Initiation for Children

OCIA adapted for Children - to begin the preparation period to celebrate the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist)

If your child has:

• NOT been baptized (over the age of seven) OR
• if your child is in the 3rd grade (or older) and has not celebrated First Holy Eucharist

please call Katie Maynard at extension 214 to enroll your child in the OCIA Process.

For those continuing the process, we will resume our weekly Monday schedule on Monday, September 23rd at 6:30 p.m.

For those inquiring for the first time, you may join any Monday evening (September through June ).  Please call Katie Maynard to schedule an initial interview prior to attending your first Monday session.

In the OCIA process for children, the Rite designates a parents as the appropriate sponsor for their child.  This requires a family catechesis process in which a parent attends the classes with their child(ren).
